Aniva Health does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, clinical interpretation, medical treatment, therapeutic recommendations, or any form of professional medical opinion. All content, metrics, “optimal values”, trend analyses, supplement suggestions and notifications are offered strictly for general wellbeing and preventative-screening purposes. They are not a substitute for an in-person consultation with a licensed physician or other regulated healthcare professional who can consider your full medical history and provide an individual assessment. Always seek the advice of your doctor before acting on any information obtained through Aniva Health. Never disregard, delay or replace professional medical advice because of something you have read in, or inferred from, our service.
Automatically generated recommendations. Health plans and recommendations are created with the help of software and are intended for general information and well-being. They are not a diagnosis, they are not medical advice and they do not replace a visit to a physician. If your values are abnormal or you have symptoms, please contact a physician.
2. No Emergency or Acute-Care Use
Do not use Aniva Health in medical emergencies. If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your local emergency number or contact qualified healthcare services immediately.
3. Non-Regulated Service & Non-Medical Device Status
- Aniva Health, its software, algorithms, reports and any connected hardware are not classed as Medical Devices under Regulation (EU) 2017/745 (‘MDR’) and are not In Vitro Diagnostic (‘IVD’) medical devices under Regulation (EU) 2017/746 (‘IVDR’).
- We are not registered as a healthcare provider, clinic, diagnostic laboratory, pharmacy or clinical trial site in any EU/EEA member state, nor do we act under the supervision of a medical board or competent health authority.
- Any laboratory measurements displayed in our app are sourced from third-party, accredited diagnostic laboratories. Those labs remain solely responsible for analytical accuracy and regulatory compliance of their tests.
4. Intended Purpose & Limitations
- Preventative screening only. The service aims to help users identify potential areas for lifestyle optimisation and to facilitate discussion with licensed healthcare professionals.
- No clinical indication. We do not indicate, suspect, confirm or rule out disease, pathology, pregnancy, infection, genetic risk or any other medical condition.
- Population-level reference ranges. “Optimal values” shown in the app are based on publicly available population data and scientific literature. They are general guidelines, not personalised diagnostic thresholds.
5. Data Accuracy & Completeness
While we strive for reliable information, Aniva Health makes no warranties, express or implied, about the completeness, timeliness or accuracy of any data, calculations or recommendations. Biomarker ranges, scientific consensus and regulatory standards may change, and individual labs may use different reference intervals.
Calculated indices. In addition to the values measured by the laboratory, Aniva shows indices that Aniva calculates from these values using published formulas, for example the LDL/HDL ratio. These indices are labelled “Calculated by Aniva” and are not results that a physician at the laboratory has reviewed and released.
6. User Responsibility
You remain fully responsible for:
- Interpreting your results in consultation with a qualified professional.
- Deciding whether to follow any lifestyle or supplement suggestions.
- Notifying your doctor of any abnormal results or health concerns.
7. No Doctor-Patient Relationship
Using Aniva Health does not create a doctor–patient or provider–patient relationship. Communications through the platform, including interactions with customer-support staff, are not medical consultations and are not protected by physician–patient privilege.
8. Liability Exclusion
To the maximum extent permitted under applicable EU and national laws, Aniva Health, its owners, employees, partners and suppliers disclaim all liability for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential loss, damage, injury, claim or expense arising from or related to:
- Reliance on information obtained through the service;
- Delays or errors in laboratory results;
- Decisions to begin, modify or discontinue any medication, supplement or lifestyle measure;
- Technical interruptions, software bugs or data-transmission failures.
- Nothing in this disclaimer limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury resulting from negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.
Liability. To the extent permitted by law, Aniva accepts no liability for decisions that are made solely on the basis of calculated indices or automatically generated recommendations.
9. Geographic Scope
The service is intended for users resident in the EU/EEA. If you access Aniva Health from outside these regions, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws.
10. Intellectual Property & Third-Party Links
All trademarks, content and software are the property of Aniva Health or its licensors. Any third-party links are provided for convenience only; we do not endorse, control or take responsibility for their content or services.
11. Data Protection (GDPR)
Personal data are processed in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and our Privacy Policy. You have the right to access, rectify, erase and port your data, and to withdraw consent at any time.
12. Changes to This Disclaimer
Aniva Health may revise this disclaimer at any time. The date of the latest revision is indicated at the top. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
This disclaimer and any dispute arising from it are governed by the laws of [Member State], without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence.
